Heaven or Hell? It’s Your Choice
One of the common refrains of unbelievers is that they don’t believe that a loving God would send anyone to Hell. They have a false sense of security. So they persist in living a life that is sinful and hateful to God because of their unbelief in a place of eternal punishment.
They truth is that in a way they are absolutely right. God doesn’t send people to Hell. The people send themselves there. God made a way out of eternal punishment for all of those that will truly accept Him and His gift of Eternal Life through His Son Jesus Christ. But many people choose not to accept that free gift. They choose the way of death. They don’t want to accept the gift because they want to live their own way. They don’t want to have to answer to anyone. They don’t want to answer to God. They choose to live a life of self, worshiping self, and worshiping and loving the things of this world instead of loving God, living for Him and worshiping Him.
He Will Give You Want You Want
Because they have chosen to live apart from God, He allows them to have what they want: an eternity apart from Him. He sends them to a place where they can have what they most want. And the people who go there chose that destination themselves.
God doesn’t force Himself on people. He’s too much of a Gentleman for that. Instead He has invited us all to come to Him and be saved, so that He can lavish His love on us, and so that we can love and worship Him, and live with Him in Heaven forever. He’s given us a free gift of Salvation through His Son Christ Jesus. He’s made a way for all people to avoid Hell by accepting this free gift. But you MUST accept the gift.
No Man Is Good Enough
No one is good enough to make it into Heaven on their own because no one is good except God. (Mark 10:18 KJV) Our righteousness is as filthy rags. (Isaiah 64:6 KJV) Neither can you do enough good works or deeds to try to make it in on your own terms, merit or in your own strength. And you can not live a life that is sinful, unholy and contrary to God all of your life, and expect a Holy and Just God to allow you into His Holy Presence when you have shunned Him, defamed Him, used His name in Vain (like a cuss word), denied Him, disrespected Him, and hated Him, all of your life. You may say that you don’t hate God. But your actions and life choices tell a far different story. All sin separates us from God. And as long as you love your sin more than God and refuse to turn from it, accept Christ and live for Him, you will live a life apart from Him for Eternity in Hell.
You may say “but I’m a child of God!” But you are not if you have never accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and are living for Him. All people are created by God and so we are all one of God’s many creations. (Genesis 1:26-28 KJV) But you must be born again (give your life to Christ and be made new) to become a child of God and spend eternity with God in Heaven. (John 3:1-4, John 3:5-8, John 3:9-11 and Galatians 3:26 KJV)
Hell Is Real
Hell is real. It doesn’t matter if you don’t believe it exists. Because you don’t believe it doesn’t mean that it’s not true. The Bible is very clear about it being a real place. It is a place of everlasting torment (Revelation 20:10 KJV), darkness and wailing and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 25:30 KJV), destruction (2 Thessalonians 1:9 KJV), a bottomless pit (Revelation 20:3 KJV), and a lake of fire that everyone goes that is not found in God’s Book of Life (Revelation 20:11-14 and Revelation 20:15 KJV). Anyone that does not accept Christ will not be in the Book of Life. No one has to go to Hell. To avoid it is so simple. But you’ve got to let go of your sin. You’ve got to turn to God and give your life to Christ.
It’s Your Choice
God doesn’t want anyone to go to Hell. That’s why He made a way out. But you must choose Him. You must choose life. God sent His Son Jesus to die for us so that whomever will trust in Him will have Eternal Life. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. If you will do that, admit that you are a sinner, turn away from your sin, believe that Jesus died for you and was buried and rose from the dead, and invite Jesus into your heart to become your personal Lord and Savior, you will be saved.
The choice of where you spend eternity is up to you. Which will you choose? Heaven or Hell? It’s your choice. I pray that you will make the right one.
Lord bless you all,
