Heaven or Hell? It’s Your Choice

Heaven or Hell by Haneefah Turner

One of the common refrains of unbelievers is that they don’t believe that a loving God would send anyone to Hell. They have a false sense of security. So they persist in living a life that is sinful and hateful to God because of their unbelief in a place of eternal punishment.

They truth is that in a way they are absolutely right. God doesn’t send people to Hell. The people send themselves there. God made a Continue reading

Let Him Bless You

God loves us so much. He blesses us so much and they are immeasurable. It’s amazing to me how He can love us so much when we are obviously so undeserving. But I am truly grateful for His blessings.

God’s Word tells us that He will withhold nothing from those that love Him. God enjoys blessing us. He wants to do that. But many times instead of opening ourselves up to receive the great things God has for us we cling to what we believe is best. We often come to God with our minds made up about what we think we truly want and need, without ever asking God if that’s truly His will for us.

It’s not wrong Continue reading

Hologram Tupac? Stop Worrying about the WRONG “resurrection.” Jesus died and rose again for real!

People are still talking about Hologram Tupac two weeks later. Who is Hologram Tupac? Well, for those of you that don’t know, it’s a digital hologram of the late rapper Tupac Shakur who was murdered 16 years ago at the age of 25 in Las Vegas. His murder is still unsolved.

Hologram Tupac made his debut at the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California Sunday April 15, 2012, and simultaneously freaked out, surprised, and entertained thousands of people during a set with fellow rap artist Snoop Dogg. The appearance of Hologram Tupac was the idea of producer/rapper Dr. Dre. He was given the okay to use the image of Tupac Shakur by Tupac’s Mother Afeni Shakur, who was said to be thrilled with the performance. The use of Tupac’s image in this way has stirred up a lot of moral debate about using holographic technology to digitally “resurrect” a long deceased artist.

Evict Unforgiveness From Your Life

I heard a quote once that wasn’t only intriguing but rooted in truth. It said that “Holding a grudge is allowing someone to live rent free in your head.” That is so true. You are giving people room in your life that don’t belong there when you hold grudges. Cut people loose from your life when they don’t belong there. Forgive them and move on. Give the issue to Jesus and give the offender an eviction notice!

I know people who love to hold grudges. It amazes me. And when you call them out on it they get offended. They don’t realize the spiritual harm that they do to themselves. It’s such a Continue reading

When You’ve Done All You Can, STAND!

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” – Ephesians 6:13 KJV

You have all that you need

We have all that we need to stand strong when life gets crazy. God has given us spiritual armor to wear to protect is in spiritual battle. We are to put it on daily so that we are always ready and protected from the wicked plans of the enemy. Are you wearing yours?

“… And having done all, to stand.”

When the battles start we are usually caught off guard. And our first instinct isn’t always to fight but to run. You either go into denial or fear comes and paralyzes you. You want to cry. Or lie down in bed and pull the covers over your head and hope it will all go away. But God said to stand. Don’t run. Don’t hide. Don’t lie down. But Continue reading

Watch How You Walk

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise.” Ephesians 5:15 KJV

Circumspect means to be watchful; take heed. To be cautious and prudent. Be watchful on all sides

Life is full of pitfalls. If we are not careful we can end up far from God. Everyday we must choose whether you will live right or not or do right or not. No one else can make the choice for you. You will either honor God this day and everyday or you will not.

To walk circumspectly is to walk in holiness. Foolish men and women don’t know they are headed for destruction. They live according to their flesh with no thought to where their choices will lead them. But as Continue reading

It’s The Thought That Counts

Have you ever really wanted to help someone financially but you honestly couldn’t? I know in these economic times being able to give when you may be in need yourself is tough. You turn on the TV and see poor hungry children starving to death and you want to help, but you can’t. Or you learn about natural disasters taking place in all over the world. People are dying or becoming homeless and you would love to help out, but there is no way. It’s rough.

I was going through Continue reading

Thoughts of Peace and Not of Evil

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

Why is it that when things go wrong one of the first things that people do is blame God? God is not responsible for the ugly things in our lives. God’s thoughts for us are of peace and love, never evil. We are quick to forget that when bad things come our way or we don’t get our way. It is because He loves that we don’t always get our way. God’s plans for us are far greater than our plans for ourselves.

It is because Continue reading
