“Living with Confidence in a Chaotic World” by David Jeremiah is a wonderful book about how we are to live our lives as Christians in today’s troubling world. Turn on the news and we become bombarded by stories of war, possible war, famine, skyrocketing unemployment, and stories of people losing their homes and retirement savings. It’s enough to make you go crazy. When we look around ourselves and we see the mess we are in not only as individuals, but as a nation, we can become overwhelmed.
“Living with Confidence in a Chaotic World” shows us how to deal with the things that trouble us and to stay focused on the Lord and live for Him. We are reminded that the problems of today were prophesied ages ago in the Bible, so we should not be surprised. Instead of being afraid we should be fearless and confident and strong in the Lord. We should be living more Christ-centered lives as we wait for his return in the mist of a chaotic world. Each chapter tells us exactly how to do that in a clear, simple, step by step manner.
I found this book to be very interesting, and inspiring. I’m not a big non-fiction reader. However, I was very delighted by this book. It was timely, informative and made me think of how I could be more focused on God and less on my troubles. It was well written and easy to read. Every time I picked it up I had a hard time putting it back down! Needless to say I enjoyed it very much and highly recommend it.
