Do you sometimes feel like you’re running the race of life all alone? That you’ll never succeed? That you’ll never go anywhere in life? I’ve felt like that a lot. As a matter of fact this blog was born out of a need to succeed at what I love doing best: writing.
Sometimes I just feel so stuck in one place. It’s like I’m constantly struggling to get ahead. I pray to God about it, and some times I ask Him “Where are you? You seem so far away.” But, the fact of the matter is that even when we feel like He’s missing in action He’s actually right beside us.
Jesus is always running the race with us. No matter what we’re going through or how we feel Jesus is always running with us. We are never alone. The Lord is right there with us every minute, of every hour, of every day. Jesus doesn’t want us to struggle for the rest of our lives. He wants us to succeed and He will help us to do that if we ask Him.
Jesus said in John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they may have life and have it more abundantly.”
In this verse Jesus is talking about our eternal life in Heaven, and all that we have now in Him as children of God. But, to me this verse also means that Jesus didn’t come so we could struggle our entire life, but to have some happiness and to be able live our lives to the full. If we are living in fear and worry, and are running from God and not doing what He wants us to do, how are we living to the full?
What is it that you want to do in this life, but aren’t doing for fear of failure or some other reason? Stop living in slow motion. Get out there and run toward the dream God has placed in your heart. God gave you the dream so that you could live it, not torture you with it. That dream in your heart just may be the purpose for your life God wants you to live out! So have faith and start living it, and stop letting Satan try to steal it. I promise you that the Lord will be running the race with you holding your hand all the way to the finish line. I know that He’s holding mine.
Be blessed
