Loves First Bloom by Delia Parr Book Review

This is the story of Ruth Livingston who’s life changes for the dramatic, as her sends her away with a baby that isn’t hers and a fictitious name to a new Jersey Village, where she waits for him to be acquitted of murder.

Amidst the turmoil and suffering Ruth meets Jake Spencer, a man who is not all that he appears to be. Soon love starts to bloom between them. But the secrets they keep may keep them apart forever.

If Historical Romances are your thing you’re going to love this book. It will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. I especially like the characters Phanaby and Elias Garner, the husband and wife that takes Ruth in and helps her throughout the book. They exemplify in many ways the love and forgiveness of Christ and it’s beautiful.

Be sure to keep your eyes open for an interesting cast of characters to say the least. You won’t be bored reading this book. There were numerous moments when Ruth frustrated me and I wanted to just close the book and walk away. But my curiosity got the best of me and I had to pick it up again! It’s just a very good book. The story was well told and I think that almost everyone that gets this book will like it.

So run out and get your copy today. You’re going to enjoy it.
