How many times have you felt like felt that? Perhaps you feel like that right now. I know that I’ve been able to relate to King David in this passage at times in my life. We all have at some point. Things are hard and looking crazy. It feels like the sky is falling and your world is coming to an end. It feels like the world is pressing you in on all sides. Life is just tough.
But then you stop and remember the love of the Lord, and how good He is all of the time. And though your circumstances may not change overnight, believing in the goodness of God helps us to be strong. And we are comforted by His love and faithfulness to us just like King David was.
Maybe your are struggling with the lose of a loved one, with sin, or with enemies trying to tear you down and destroy you. Your troubles seem never ending. But when you look to the Lord and remember His goodness you find hope. Because without Him there is no hope. And it is that hope in Christ and the strength that He gives that keeps us from fainting under the pressures of life.
It is also our comfort. I know it looks like Satan is winning. But it only looks like evil is winning. But it really isn’t. Don’t lose hope. Don’t lose faith. Hold on to hope. Hold on to faith. Hold on to Jesus Christ and He will give you strength. Matthew 11:28 KJV says “Come unto me all ye that labour are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Fall into His arms and accept it. In Jesus there is peace and rest. Accept it.
Trust Jesus Christ. In this life we will have trouble. But He will always be there to give you strength and help you to get through your troubles and your struggles. He loves you and will never leave you, nor forsake you. So faint not. It may take time but everything will be alright. Faint not. It get’s better.
