When You’ve Done All You Can, STAND!

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” – Ephesians 6:13 KJV



You have all that you need

We have all that we need to stand strong when life gets crazy. God has given us spiritual armor to wear to protect is in spiritual battle. We are to put it on daily so that we are always ready and protected from the wicked plans of the enemy. Are you wearing yours?


“… And having done all, to stand.”


When the battles start we are usually caught off guard. And our first instinct isn’t always to fight but to run. You either go into denial or fear comes and paralyzes you. You want to cry. Or lie down in bed and pull the covers over your head and hope it will all go away. But God said to stand. Don’t run. Don’t hide. Don’t lie down. But put on the armor He has given to all of us. The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, on your feet put on the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God, and then to stand.


God is with you


You are not fighting alone. God is with you in your battles. So keep praying. Stay in the Word of God. And use all the other pieces of your armor. God has already won the battle. Our spiritual enemy is already defeated. You don’t have to be afraid. All you’ve got to do is trust God and stand strong in faith in Jesus Christ. It’s okay if you’ve got to cry while the battle is being fought. But never give up. Just keep your eyes on God instead of your troubles. Don’t allow the devil to steal your joy or your peace. And having done all, to stand.
