People can’t always be trusted. At least not 100% of the time. As imperfect people it is impossible for us to behave perfectly at all times. Most people mean well but because of our imperfections we will always fall short. People break promises, lie, cheat, steal, break hearts, and will sometimes even betray you. That doesn’t mean that you should live your life in fear of being hurt or suspicious of all people. That’s neither a healthy or Godly way to live. But it’s important to never put people in God’s place.
“God has never made a promise He didn’t keep. Trust Him. God can do anything EXCEPT fail.” Click To Tweet
Completely Dependable
God is the only One who is completely dependable. The only one any of us can have absolute faith and trust in. He is not a man that He should lie. He will never say one thing and do another. Or not make good on His Word. If He said He will do something it will be done. (Numbers 23:19 KJV)
He Can Be Trusted
He has promised us many things and has kept every Word. He promised to send us Jesus and He did. He promised to give Salvation to all of those that would choose Christ, and He does. (John 3:16-17 KJV) He has promised to never leave us or forsake us, and He hasn’t. (Hebrews 13:5 KJV) He promised to send us a Comforter in the Holy Spirit, and He has. (John 14:16 KJV) He promises to forgive us when we forgive others. (Mark 11:25 KJV) To love us. (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV) To be our refuge and our strength. To make our paths straight if we will acknowledge Him and keep Him first. (Proverbs 3:6 KJV) And these promises are just the tip of the iceberg! God has never made a promise He didn’t keep. His Word can always be trusted.
Hold On To His Promises
Don’t be afraid to hold on to God and His promises. Others may let you down, but God never will. So read your Bible and fill up on His promises. Get them rooted deep down in your heart and believe them. Trust God. He can do anything but fail!
“For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the Glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV
