Escaping the Cauldron: Exposing occult influences in everyday life tells the story of Kristine McGuire’s descent into Witchcraft and how God delivered her. Kristine grew up in a Christian home but was always intrigued by the occult. Even though she committed her life to Christ the lure of the occult continued to pull her. One day while discontent with God who seemed to not be hearing her or answering her prayers, she decided to finally indulge her curiosity into Witchcraft. That decision led her to live for eight years as a “Christian” witch, medium and ghost hunter. That is until God opened her eyes and mercifully pull her from Satan’s clutches.
I enjoyed this book. It is a wake up call to the church to be on guard spiritually. Even Christians can be deeply intrigued with the occult and get pulled in. No one is exempt. Kristine was very honest and open about her journey and how she came to be free. Escaping the Cauldron: Exposing occult influences in everyday lifeis part testimony and memoir and an excellent read and eye opener. I appreciated how Kristine broke down the fact that many things that we think of as being innocent are actually very dangerous. This is a book that should be in every Christian’s library.
I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.
