Nothing lasts forever. Not even our troubles. The tide always turns. When we are deep in sorrow we forget that. Because in those moments we are unable to see clearly. We only know what we feel. And that’s that the pain is unbearable. We are unable to look ahead and see a brighter day.
Whether you can Continue reading

Because I Live, Ye Shall Live Also
It’s terrible when you lose someone you love. There is no pain like it. The loss of those closest to us is always so devastating. The pain feels never ending. You feel like a part of yourself has left and it hurts. Especially when the loss is sudden and tragic. Maybe you’re grieving for yourself. Perhaps God is calling you home and you’re sad and afraid. Death is always hard. It is never easy.
So we Continue reading
Unnoticed by the World
Do you sometimes feel invisible? Just completely unnoticed by the world? Maybe you bust your butt at your job, work hard as a wife, Mother, Husband or Father, give your all serving in the church week after week without a simple thank you. You’re just chugging along spreading the Word of God, training your kids in the way they should go, being the man or woman God has called you to be and you’re feeling completely unappreciated. It doesn’t feel good at all, does it? We’ve all felt that way at some point in our lives. People have a way of both intentionally and unintentionally taking others for granted.
There is this quote that I’ve always loved by the writer Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) that says “The world has no room for Continue reading
Faint Not – It Get’s Better!
—- Psalms 27:13
How many times have you felt like felt that? Perhaps you feel like that right now. I know that I’ve been able to relate to King David in this passage at times in my life. We all have at some point. Things are hard and looking crazy. It feels like the sky is falling and your world is coming to an end. It feels like the world is pressing you in on all sides. Life is just tough.
But then you stop and remember the love of the Lord, and how good He is all of the time. And though your circumstances may not change overnight, believing in the goodness of God helps us Continue reading
Little by Little
Most people don’t change overnight. You may have experienced some life changing experience, or an awakening to self or to God that opens your eyes to the need to change. And you may even start to live differently as you start to realize you’ve been living and doing wrong. Or just that you’ve been living with emotional chains; leftovers from a bad childhood, relationship, abuse, betrayal or whatever the case may be for you. Something that needs to heal. But true change takes time.
Christian maturity is a process. Just as maturity in the natural is a process. You don’t get saved one day and become “Super Christian” the next day. Actually no one ever becomes Super Christian. No persons faith walk is perfect. And everyone has some kind of pain or struggle in their life. Some people handle what they go through well because God gives them the strength they need to carry on, and the person makes a decision to not lose their joy. And some others just wear a mask to appear perfect. But of course no one ever is perfect. We all strive to be like Jesus, but Continue reading
God Is Not Your Puppet
“Jesus answered them and said, Verily, Verily, I say unto you, ye seek me not because you saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.” — John 6:26 KJV
“(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:32-33 KJV
Why do you serve Jesus? Do you serve Him because you truly love Him? Or do you serve Him because of what you think you can get from Him?
A lot of Pastors today teach serving God for things is good. Their self-centered and deceitful teachings tell people to come to Jesus Christ, not because they have sinned against Him and are lost, and yes, destined for Hell because of their sin against God, but that Jesus made a way out for them by dying for them. But, they tell them to come to Him to get the blessings out of His hand.
Come to God because He has a “wonderful plan for your life.” Come to God and find happiness, joy, peace, money, houses, cars, a new job, and the list goes on and on. They teach people Continue reading
Kingdom Lifestyle
A Kingdom Lifestyle
When people look at you and how you live your life do they know what you believe? What you stand for? Is it evident? Is your mouth saying one thing, but your lifestyle another? Are you claiming Christ, but living like a heathen. Do others see Jesus Christ in you?
God told the Israelites not to live life as or worship as the godless people around them. To stay set apart. God knew that the Israelites would lose their way and turn from Him if they weren’t careful and deliberate in how they lived their life. God is telling us to Continue reading
The True Source
While watching a special last week marking Michael Jackson’s Birthday (Michael Jackson History: The King of Pop 1958-2009) a commercial aired touting a new Psychic Hotline called “Psychic Source.” They claimed to be able to tell you anything you want to know about anything in the future. If you want to know if you are going to marry, or have children, if your husband or wife is cheating or whatever the case may be, they claim to have all of the answers for whatever concerns you about life for a mere “$10 for 10 minutes.” That’s one dollar a minute for lies. I was so disgusted, angry and sad seeing that. It was sad that people are so desperate, so hungry for answers, yet not knowing who they should really turn to, that they would resort to that. And angry at those that take advantage of those desperately, hurting and lost people.
You will never find the answers your heart seeks from a Psychic. Psychics don’t have the truth. On top of that the answers you get come from their “spirit guides,” the demons they depend on for information from the “other side.” The Bible calls these spirit guides “familiar spirits.” You are only opening yourself up to bondage and curses. God is not in it.
God is very clear about how He Continue reading
Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
Nobody wants to be who there are anymore. They want to be like everybody else. Turn on the TV,open a magazine,go on the internet and get bombarded by unnatural, photoshopped images of celebrities and models. The world tells us that these people are the gold standard of beauty, and that if you don’t look like them you’re nothing. To that I say ‘I don’t think so!’
The world says that if your skin isn’t light enough you aren’t beautiful. If you’re body isn’t slim enough you aren’t beautiful. If your smile isn’t just right, or you’re too short, too tall, too something, you aren’t beautiful. Well let me tell you something. God’s Continue reading
What Do You Treasure? God or Sin?
For where your treasure is, there will be your heart also — Matthew 6:21 KJV
Do you treasure the things of this world or the things of God? Answer wisely. Where you will spend eternity rests on it. Why? Because your answer may tell whether you are a way side believer, stony ground believer, thorny ground believer or a good ground believer. Mark 4:1-20 KJV
See people today think that because they made a “decision” for Christ that makes them saved. They believe that they can live however they want no matter how wild and reckless and sinful and it’s okay because they made a “decision” for Christ. That’s a popular teaching today. It’s also very wrong.
There are also those that think they’re saved because they sit in church every Sunday morning, even though they were wildin’ out in the club the night before. Or they think they are saved because they watch a little “Christian” TV from time to time, or have cute little religious figurines, photographs and what not all over the house, car or job or say a few empty prayers, amongst other things. That’s also false. Sorry to break it to you. I know it’s tough.
I don’t watch a lot of “Christian” TV, but one Sunday I decided to check out a popular preacher with the celebrities and such in L.A. And I’ll never forget when he said “ I don’t want to preach to you about sin. I just want to love on you.” I almost fell on the floor. My mouth dropped open and everything. What kind of “Pastor” doesn’t preach about sin? Because if he really loved you he would tell you to come to Christ. To come out of sin and live holy for Jesus. To give your entire life to Christ and accept His gift of eternal life. That’s real love. Unfortunately, the false “gospel” that this “Pastor” preaches is the norm today. And it’s spiritually deadly.
It’s not enough to say that you believe in Jesus. James 2:19 in the King James Bible says “ Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe and tremble.” Well we know that devils aren’t saved, so are you sure that you are? What does Continue reading
