Joy Comes In The Morning

Nothing lasts forever. Not even our troubles. The tide always turns. When we are deep in sorrow we forget that. Because in those moments we are unable to see clearly. We only know what we feel. And that’s that the pain is unbearable. We are unable to look ahead and see a brighter day.

Whether you can Continue reading

Praying For Your Future Husband by Robin Jones Gunn and Trica Goyer Book Review

“Praying For Your Future Husband: Preparing Your Heart for His by Robin Jones Gunn and Tricia Goyer” is a great book. The book seems to be geared towards young women. Such as those in their late teens to early twenties. But it really does not matter how old you are. If you are a single, Christian woman, this book is for you.

Get Married For Christ’s Sake by Kenny Jackson Book Review

This is a great book. “Get Married for Christ’s Sake: The Christian Singles’ Call To A World Changing Marriage” by Kenny Jackson is a book written for Christian singles who want to marry. It’s the perfect book to read before you consider making the leap into married life. It guides you on how to have a successful marriage before you are married so you have the tools necessary to ensure your marital success. From being sure you have chosen the right spouse before you reach the altar, to praying for your future spouse now, even if you aren’t seeing anyone. I especially like when Kenny speaks about “The Goo.” Goo is all of Continue reading

The Abundant Life Day Book By Nancy Guthrie Book Review

“The Abundant Life Day Book: 365 Blessings To Begin Your Day” by Nancy Guthrie is a book of short devotionals to begin your day with. The book is written in such a way so that it seems as if the Lord is speaking to you. Keeping Christ in Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that you all are enjoying your day and that it is blessed and full of joy. I just wanted to take a minute to remind everyone that while it’s nice to get presents and sing songs and stuff ourselves with Christmas goodies, it’s more important to remember why we celebrate Christmas at all.

We celebrate Christmas to celebrate God’s gift to us–Jesus Christ! There is no greater gift than Jesus Christ Himself. It’s not about toys, food, trees, gifts and certainly not about Santa Claus! We are in a time where people are trying their best to remove Jesus Christ from Christmas. People don’t want to say “Merry Christmas” anymore. It’s “Happy Holidays” and some don’t even say that. It’s just not Politically Correct anymore to say “Merry Christmas.” I say forget that! No one will ever get me to remove Jesus Christ from Christmas. It’s all about Him anyway. It’s just not going to happen!

More than likely Continue reading

This Thing of Ours by Cammy Franzese Book Review

This Thing of Ours by Cammy Franzese is her autobiography as the wife of ex-mobster Michael Franzese of the Colombo Crime Family. She speaks openly and frankly of all that she endured for 10 years. While her husband was locked away doing hard time in Federal Prison. Cammy even endured being arrested herself and thrown in jail to try to back her husband into corner. Her life went from being almost like a fairy tale to completely being spun out of control. It wasn’t the life she planned for herself. But she Continue reading

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope that your Thanksgiving is fun, beautiful and blessed. Be sure to eat a lot and enjoy time with your family and friends. Don’t forget to thank the Lord for blessing you to see such a beautiful day and have the opportunity to be with those you love. Thank Him for all that He has done for you and how much He has blessed you. We have NOTHING and are NOTHING without God.

Thanksgiving is about so much more than food, turkeys and stuffing ourselves silly. Although one of the best parts about the day is eating all of that delicious food and fellowshipping with the ones we love. It’s about Continue reading

Unnoticed by the World

Do you sometimes feel invisible? Just completely unnoticed by the world? Maybe you bust your butt at your job, work hard as a wife, Mother, Husband or Father, give your all serving in the church week after week without a simple thank you. You’re just chugging along spreading the Word of God, training your kids in the way they should go, being the man or woman God has called you to be and you’re feeling completely unappreciated. It doesn’t feel good at all, does it? We’ve all felt that way at some point in our lives. People have a way of both intentionally and unintentionally taking others for granted.

There is this quote that I’ve always loved by the writer Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) that says “The world has no room for Continue reading
