Heaven or Hell? It’s Your Choice

Heaven or Hell by Haneefah Turner

One of the common refrains of unbelievers is that they don’t believe that a loving God would send anyone to Hell. They have a false sense of security. So they persist in living a life that is sinful and hateful to God because of their unbelief in a place of eternal punishment.

They truth is that in a way they are absolutely right. God doesn’t send people to Hell. The people send themselves there. God made a Continue reading

Ascent From Darkness by Michael Leehan Book Review

All I’ve got to say about this book is wow, wow, WOW! Evil is so real and the effects can be so devastating. But God is far greater and powerful than Satan. God will always put a stop to evil. It can never prevail.

Ascent From Darkness is the story of one man’s descent into Satanism and God’s relentless pursuit to bring him from darkness into the Light. For twenty years, Michael Leehan was a slave to Satan. He experienced things that most people don’t want to think about, or even believes is real or could be true. But, it’s all true.

After years of feeling like darkness was always right on his heels he decided to give into it and become a satanist. That tragic decision caused Michael to go into such a downward spiral that no one thought that he would ever be free…including himself. But God had other plans so great, that not only did he pull Michael out of Satan’s death grip, but Continue reading

God’s Grace by Trin-i-tee 5:7

I’ve always liked this song. It is so true. God is so good. God’s grace and mercy are so wonderful. We are so undeserving and yet He blesses us so much anyway. I am so grateful for everything He’s done for me. I just want Continue reading

Until The End of the World

Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the World — Matthew 28: 20 KJV

I love this verse. Get it down deep into your heart and hide it there for when you need it. Jesus promised to be there for us always, even until the end of the world. Not sometimes. Always! Doesn’t that just warm your heart? Doesn’t that just make you feel good? That verse is of tremendous comfort to me when I’m scared or feeling alone because I know that Jesus is by my side at ALL times! It’s a promise that He made to Continue reading

Jesus Is The Reason For It All – Merry Christmas 2010

Merry Christmas to my faithful readers here at Reflections of a Queen. I hope that your Christmas is a beautiful one. Let’s not forget to keep Jesus first as we celebrate His birth. It’s all about Him. Not trees. Not gifts. Not Santa Claus. It’s about celebrating the day that Christ was birthed into this world to one day grow up and become a man who would bring Salvation to the world. All we have Continue reading

There Is None Righteous

I have written this commentary/Bible Study based on Romans 3:10-18. It is meant to educate both the saved as well as the unsaved. But mostly it is to show those that don’t know Him why they need Him. I hope that you will be blessed by it. This commentary is written as part of the FaithfulBloggers Romans Road Writing Project.

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is
none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulcher; with their
tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose
mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood:
Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not
known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.

— Romans 3:10-18 KJV

These are very serious charges. The verdict: guilty. Who is the guilty party? All of
mankind. Who indicts us? God Himself

Man is corrupt. You can deny if you want. It doesn’t matter. The evidence is all around us. Don’t believe me? Turn on the news. Look at your neighbors. Look at your family. Take an honest look at yourself! We are a sin stained people.

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

The Word of God tells us that only Jesus Christ, who is also God, is good. There has never been nor will there ever be a perfect person other than Jesus Christ. It’s not possible. As humans we have a sin nature, and that nature will prevent us from ever being the good people we tell ourselves that we are. As good as you want to believe yourself to be God says that it just isn’t so. By nature we are wicked. No amount of good works can save you or make you good. Our ability to do good just makes us a sinful people that sometimes does good things.

There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Sin keeps us blind to the truth of our nature and who God truly Continue reading
