Hope Springs is another gem written by author Kim Cash Tate. Hope Springs tells the story of Janelle Evans, Becca Anderson and Stephanie London and how their lives are forever changed when after they are brought together through tragedy.

Hope Springs is book three in a series which includes the books Faithful and Cherished. You should definitely check them out as well.

When Janelle Evans visits her Grandma Geri during the Christmas holiday and learns that she is extremely ill she decides to stay and take care of her, even though she was reluctant to return to her home town that she had been absent from since her husband died. Martin Luther King, Jr. – The Dream Is Still Unfolding and Being Realized

I wanted to take the time today to give honor to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His sacrifices in his life, which ultimately resulted in his untimely death, has made it possible for African-Americans to live as human beings, and not as a second class citizen. Or worse, as an animal. Because African-Americans, such as myself, have always been seen as even lower than an animal simply because of the color of our skin. I also wanted to remind people that the dream continues. We have achieved great things and overcome much, but we still have a long way to go.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today.”

Cherished by Kim Cash Tate Book Review

Kim Cash Tate has done it again with another great book called “Cherished : A Novel of Unconditional Love.” “Cherished” tells the story of Kelli London, a young woman that dreamed of one day becoming a songwriter. It was her dream to touch the hearts and lives of others through music and honor God with her gift. She also dreamed about being with a man named Brian, her first and only love and high school sweetheart. She was so sure that they would one day marry and have a family. But bad decisions eventually led to tragic and devastating consequences that destroyed her long held dreams of music and love, until God opens her heart to hope and dream again through a series of love letters.

I would just like to say in this post that I am forever grateful to this man of God that stood up for the rights of his people, and for everyone. Because of him I can write here without fear or shame of people finding out about the fact that I’m black. Or even just being able to write here at all because I am black. Because of this man I can eat where I want. I can work where I want. I can marry a man of another race, because it is no longer illegal to do such a thing.
