Hope Springs is another gem written by author Kim Cash Tate. Hope Springs tells the story of Janelle Evans, Becca Anderson and Stephanie London and how their lives are forever changed when after they are brought together through tragedy.

Hope Springs is book three in a series which includes the books Faithful and Cherished. You should definitely check them out as well.

Gilani Taylor Update

Gilani Taylor passed away about 5 hours ago at about 6:00 PM or 6:30 PM Pacific Time October 21, 2011 Friday. She is now with Jesus and her baby girl Jayla. Please pray for her husband Rodney and her surviving daughter Amiya, also known as Mimi, who was not in the car that fateful and tragic day, as well as their son Milan. Please don’t ever forget Gilani. Continue to pray that the person that has killed Gilani and Jayla will be caught, so that he or she can pay the price for what they’ve done and go to jail.

The person was driving a white, 2000’s model SUV on the 101 Freeway under the Las Virgenes Overpass October 1, 2011 Saturday at around 8:32 AM. If you know ANYTHING please report it to the CHP at 818-240-8200. Thank you! God bless you!


Quick update! Gilani’s condition is very bad. The doctors have said that there isn’t much more that they can do. It is completely in God’s hands. Gilani’s Pastor posted on his Twitter page this message today Friday October 21, 2011 at 3:00 PM “Doctors have now put Sister Lani’s life in God’s Hands. I’m SO glad that she did the same thing 2 and a half yrs ago! PRAY! MIRACLE TIME” So please continue to pray with all you’ve got! Keep lifting Gilani in prayer. Thank you and God bless you! It’s been over two weeks and Gilani Taylor is still alive! Fighting for her life? Yes. Still Critical? Yes, and she will for some time. But she is still alive. The doctors didn’t think she’d live for two days. Yet, she’s still here. God is so good! But Gilani is still not out of the woods. Her condition has worsened so your prayers are still needed. Gilani went into Cardiopulmonary arrest also known as cardiac arrest on October 17, 2011. Her Pastor held an all night Shut In prayer service to pray for her last night October 18, 2011. Anyone could come and pray. So the situation is even more serious. I do not know if she is still in a medically induced coma. But if so, then she is still unaware of the death of Jayla. Please continue to hold her up. I don’t know what her condition is right now. Getting updates is difficult. But as soon as I know of any changes, either good or bad, I will let you know.

The Baker’s Wife is the third novel by Erin Healy. Erin Healy is an award winning editor and is best known for co-writing a few books with Author Ted Dekker. The Baker’s Wife is a serious page turner about a woman named Audrey Bofinger. Audrey use to be a Pastors Wife before that title, and that life was stolen from her when an incredible lie about her husband cost him his pastoral career. To survive Audrey and her husband Geoff open a bakery. Baking bread had always been a favorite pastime of theirs. And they regularly made bread for members of their congregation. So to become professional bakers was not a stretch.

Audrey didn’t think that life could get any worse for her family until the unthinkable happened early one morning. While driving to work with her son Ed, Audrey strikes something in the thick fog that permeates the California town where she lives in the early mornings. Do you treasure the things of this world or the things of God? Answer wisely. Where you will spend eternity rests on it. Why? Because your answer may tell whether you are a way side believer, stony ground believer, thorny ground believer or a good ground believer. Mark  4:1-20 KJV

See people today think that because they made a “decision” for Christ that makes them saved. They believe that they can live however they want no matter how wild and reckless and sinful and it’s okay because they made a “decision” for Christ. That’s a popular teaching today. It’s also very wrong.

There are also those that think they’re saved because they sit in church every Sunday morning, even though they were wildin’ out in the club the night before. Or they think they are saved because they watch a little “Christian” TV from time to time, or have cute little religious figurines, photographs and what not all over the house, car or job or say a few empty prayers, amongst other things. That’s also false. Sorry to break it to you. I know it’s tough.

I don’t watch a lot of “Christian” TV, but one Sunday I decided to check out a popular preacher with the celebrities and such in L.A. And I’ll never forget when he said “ I don’t want to preach to you about sin. I just want to love on you.” I almost fell on the floor. My mouth dropped open and everything. What kind of “Pastor” doesn’t preach about sin? Because if he really loved you he would tell you to come to Christ. To come out of sin and live holy for Jesus. To give your entire life to Christ and accept His gift of eternal life. That’s real love. Unfortunately, the false “gospel” that this “Pastor” preaches is the norm today. And it’s spiritually deadly.

It’s not enough to say that you believe in Jesus. James 2:19 in the King James Bible says “ Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe and tremble.” Well we know that devils aren’t saved, so are you sure that you are? What does Continue reading →

These are trying times for everyone. Everyone is going through some kind of drama in their lives. People can’t find jobs, are losing jobs, don’t have enough money. They’re having problems with family and friends. It feels never ending. It hurts. And it’s worse when you feel like you’re suffering alone. A common refrain is “ no one understands what I’m going through.” That’s just a lie that Satan wants you to believe so that you feel completely isolated. The truth is that there are millions of people that understand what you’re going through in your life right now. You are never alone. Even if you feel that you are, even if you are in the physical, God is still there beside you even though you can’t see Him. It would still be nice to have someone there for you with skin on though, right? I know. But it’s important to remember that if no one is around that God always is. It’s important to always remember that.

Happy 4th of July!

I just want to take a moment, on the anniversary of the signing on the Declaration of Independence, to wish everyone a beautiful 4th of July and to thank all of the men and women who have fought for us, been maimed and lost limbs for us, and laid down their lives for us. There are not enough words to express the deeply felt gratitude I feel for the sacrifice you have made. I am so incredibly grateful to you for going into the trenches and risking it all so that I can be free.  I love you all. God bless you!
